The Borough of Heidelberg is looking for interested applicants to fill one  alternate position on the Borough Zoning Hearing Board, and one position on the Borough’s Planning Commission.

Zoning Hearing Board alternate position is a one year term.  The purpose of the Zoning Hearing Board is to hear appeals on the validity of the zoning ordinance or any decision made by the zoning officer. In addition, the ZHB has the power to grant variances and special exceptions to the zoning ordinances.

The term of office for the vacancy position on the Planning Commission is four (4) years. The purpose of the Planning Commission is to make recommendations on future land development within the Borough. The Planning Commission is also to make capital improvement program recommendations to the Borough.

If interested in serving on either board please submit requests in writing to the Borough of Heidelberg.  Please be advised that both positions are voluntary and receive no compensation, and applicants must be a resident of the Borough of Heidelberg.
