Heidelberg Memorial Day Ceremony – 27 May 2013 On Monday, May 27, 2013, the Borough of Heidelberg celebrated Memorial Day at its military monuments within Heidelberg Park. The ceremony included remarks by Mayor Ken LaSota and Councilman John Duda, singing by members of the Chartiers Valley High School Chorus, flag raising by the Carnegie American Legion, bagpipes by Nichole Kauer, prayers led by Rev. John Yohe and members of the community were able to place flowers at each monument in memory of loved ones. Following the ceremony, lunch was provided compliments of the Heidelberg Recreation Committee. We thank everyone who participated and made this service possible.
